Who am I?

ree

Who am I? Well, I’d like to know that too. Just kidding, of course.I was born on March 20th — same day as the amazing Chester Bennington, former frontman of Linkin Park. I only mention it as a fun fact, since I was born in a completely different year. But I still love his songs to this day. They carry a strength that never faded for me.

When my dad was barely taller than I was, a spark for adventure was already growing inside me. My heart beat faster and faster. Childhood in the ‘90s was magical — from my perspective, it was all about constant discovery. And I’m really glad I got to grow up in that era. But as time passed and unexpected life events came along, that fire, that inner enthusiasm, slowly faded. I’ll share more about that in future stories. What matters is that I’ve found that fire again — and with it, a desire to create and explore new paths.

My name is Libor Lang. And if I had to describe myself briefly, I’d say I’m just a regular guy with a sometimes very specific sense of humor — it doesn’t always land, but hey, I can’t please everyone. I’m honest, sometimes a sharp word slips out, but that’s just part of me. I try to keep a balance between inner calm and the ever-present drive to do, create, and explore something new. I’m a big sports enthusiast — I love movement, I’m a fan of football, hockey, and MMA. I enjoy a healthy lifestyle, reading books, discovering the world, and diving into adventure.

I was born, raised, and lived for 22 years in a tough region full of tough people — in a town full of mud and big-toothed frogs. Bruntál. A city tucked between Praděd Mountain and the Slezská Harta reservoir. It might sound like a meme, but for me, that place holds a special kind of magic. I wouldn’t trade it for anything — because of my family, friends, the landscape, and all the memories.

I graduated from a business academy with a focus on IT, although the path wasn’t exactly straightforward. I started out studying to be a plumber, switched to an economics lyceum, and finally settled in IT. After graduation, I tried to find a job, but at the time, Bruntál had very high unemployment. I had no work experience and big illusions — I thought offices would welcome me with open arms. They didn’t.

I tried all sorts of jobs. Call center agent for T-Mobile? Zero clients. Turns out my arguing skills from Counter-Strike 1.6 weren’t that useful. Warehouse worker at a toy store? The job went to a busty blonde instead. Waiter at Hotel Avalanche? Turns out pub experience didn’t exactly translate to hotel service.

Eventually, family circumstances led me to make a big decision — to move out and live on my own. I relocated to Haná, to a small village with a lovely view of Olomouc. I started working as a receptionist and security guard at Nestlé, and thanks to some good contacts, I eventually got into production. At first, I was on a team making white chocolate. Over time, with patience, I worked my way up until I was in charge of a production line making the base chocolate mass used by other lines.

Nestlé taught me a lot. About work, responsibility, and people. I basically grew up there. It was a school of life. But after eleven years, that chapter came to an end — not in the best way. I realized I could no longer grow there. That I needed a change. Something new.

I moved to Poland to be with my girlfriend, and I’m starting from scratch. I want to grow again. To open myself to new challenges. To bring out the part of me that had been asleep for years.

And this is where a new chapter begins .Blog. Brand. Challenges.

But more on that next time.
